Two Major Names Join the Cast of Kirio Fan Club Anime: Fumihiko Tachiki and Mamiko Noto Join the Voice Cast!

The production team of the Kirio Fan Club (霧尾ファンクラブ) anime made an exciting announcement ahead of the series' fourth episode. Legendary voices of the anime world, Fumihiko Tachiki and Mamiko Noto, have joined the series' expanding cast. Tachiki will voice the grandfather of the main character Aimi, while Noto will appear as the mother of Nozomi, Kirio's closest friend. Along with this announcement, preview images and the synopsis for the highly anticipated fourth episode were also shared.
Adapted from the popular manga series written by Chikyū no Osakana Pon-chan, the production focuses on the obsessions of two high school students, Miyoshi and Aimi, with the mysterious boy in their class, Kirio. The manga, which began serialization on Kodansha's Comic Day platform in 2022, quickly reached a wide audience with its absurd humor and the characters' "fandom-level" passions. The anime adaptation successfully brings this energetic and occasionally bizarre atmosphere to the screen.
The newly joined voice actors are of a caliber that will take the series' quality to the next level. Fumihiko Tachiki is one of the industry's most characteristic voices, known especially for his roles as Gendo Ikari in Neon Genesis Evangelion and Kenpachi Zaraki in Bleach. On the other hand, Mamiko Noto is known for her soft and impressive voice in works such as Kimi ni Todoke (Sawako) and Clannad (Kotomi). The inclusion of these two master names in supporting roles in a comedy series highlights the importance the production places on character depth.
Kirio Fan Club, which features talented names like Hina Kino (Miyoshi) and Fairouz Ai (Aimi) in the lead roles, offers viewers both a taste of nostalgic comedy and a humorous reflection on modern fan culture. The fact that the story will also focus on family dynamics starting with the fourth episode will allow us to better understand the characters' motivations. If you are looking for a series that thrives on absurd situations and never drops its pace, we recommend you not to miss this production, which is one of the hidden gems of this season.
