Four New Names Join the Liar Game Anime Cast

The Liar Game anime adaptation has added four new names to its voice cast. Daisuke Namikawa, Yūya Uchida, Hiroko Ushida, and Minoru Shiraishi are the latest additions to the project. This development shows that the adaptation's production is progressing rapidly.
Namikawa is an experienced voice actor who has previously brought to life Mahito in Jujutsu Kaisen and Asahi Azumane in Haikyuu!!. Uchida is known for his role as Itachi Uchiha in Naruto. Hiroko Ushida and Minoru Shiraishi are established names who have appeared in many anime and games. It has not yet been announced which characters the new cast members will portray.
Liar Game is based on the manga of the same name by Shinobu Kaitani. The series follows Nao Kanzaki, a university student drowning in debt, who participates in psychological games organized by a mysterious organization. The manga was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine from 2005 to 2015 and consists of 19 volumes in total. Previously, a live-action series was made in 2007 and two film adaptations in 2010. This is the first time the anime adaptation is being produced.
It is known that Hiroaki Matsuura is directing the anime adaptation, with Yasuhiro Nakanishi writing the script. The series' music will be composed by Yuki Hayashi. The choice of Madhouse as the production studio increases expectations for a high-quality adaptation. The first promotional trailer was released last month, and the series is planned to air sometime in 2026.
This new cast announcement has generated great excitement, especially among fans who have read the manga. The cleverly crafted games and psychological thriller elements of Liar Game make the anime adaptation one of the most anticipated productions. In the coming months, details are expected to become clearer with character introductions and new trailers.
