Liar Game Anime Releases Trailer, Visual, Cast, and Theme Songs for Second Part

Adapted from Shinobu Kaitani's iconic manga, the Liar Game anime returns with its second part. According to Anime News Network, along with the release of a new trailer and visual, the voice cast and theme song artists for the continuation have been announced. Kroi and muque will perform the opening and ending themes for the second part.
The original manga was serialized from 2005 to 2015 and quickly became one of the cult works of the psychological thriller genre. The story follows Nao Kanzaki, who joins the mysterious 'Liar Game' tournament to pay off her debt, surviving through deception and mind games. It had previously gained significant attention through Japanese and Korean live-action adaptations. For fans who had long awaited an anime adaptation, the release of the first part in 2025 created great excitement.
The trailer for the second part showcases more complex rounds where Nao and her partner Shinichi Akiyama face new opponents. The visual also hints at a mysterious figure alongside the main characters. It is noted that the newly added cast members include experienced voice actors from the industry, and it is curious how Kroi's energetic rock style and muque's melancholic vocals will accompany the tense atmosphere of the story.
This news is a significant milestone, especially for those who have read the manga and eagerly await the anime. The second part of Liar Game will answer the major questions left by the first part and deepen the rules of the game. Following the 'Less or More' and 'Red and Black' games seen in the previous season, fans are already discussing which new mind games will begin. Although the release date has not yet been confirmed, excitement is at its peak for the second part, expected to meet viewers in 2026.
