Loner Life in Another World Anime Gets Second Season
The story of a high school student who loves isolation suddenly being dragged into another world, Loner Life in Another World has received approval for a second season. The official announcement came to light with a report shared by Anime News Network on July 4, 2026. The first season started in October 2024, ran for 12 episodes, and concluded in December 2024. The long-awaited news of a second season delighted fans of the series.
The series is adapted from the light novel of the same name written by Shoji Goji and illustrated by Saku Enomiya. First published on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō platform in 2018, the story quickly gained popularity. Then in 2019, a printed version was released under ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Bunko label. The series also has a manga adaptation and stands out by blending the typical patterns of the isekai genre with humor and the theme of loneliness.
Studio Passione (Rokka no Yuusha, High School DxD Hero), which handled production of the first season, will work with the same team on the second season. Takeyuki Yanase is expected to direct, with Kazuyuki Fudeyasu as the scriptwriter. It is stated that the voice cast from the first season will largely be retained. No official announcement has been made regarding the release date or episode count, but industry sources point to the first half of 2027.
