Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance: New Visual and Release Date Announced!

The big day is approaching for Nanoha fans! Exciting new details have been shared for Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance, the centerpiece of the legendary magical girl series' 20th-anniversary celebrations. According to the official announcement, the series will begin airing in Japan on July 4, 2026. Furthermore, the first episode will air as a special 60-minute episode to provide fans with a true visual feast. In the newly released main visual, the series' expanding cast of characters is seen together, and the tension between the "EXCEEDS" and "Majingari" groups is felt more clearly than ever before.
Before the television broadcast, some lucky fans will have the opportunity to watch the series early. A special preview event will be held on June 21, 2026, at the Marunouchi Piccadilly cinema in Tokyo, where the first two episodes will be screened. This event will not only feature the anime screening but also a special talk show with voice actors such as Azusa Tachibana (Shiina Kuze), Asaki Yuikawa (Towa Yorumi), and Aika Kobayashi (Yuna Kitamori). Such events are of great importance in Japan for strengthening community bonds for long-running series like Nanoha.
Looking back at the history of the series, the journey of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, which began in 2004, rewrote the rules of the magical girl genre with its technological and military touches. Original creator and screenwriter Masaki Tsuzuki is at the helm for this new project as well. The director's chair is occupied by Takayuki Hamana, while animation production is once again handled by the Seven Arcs studio. The story follows the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha: Detonation film.
