Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. Season 2 Date Announced: New Trailer and Details!

Bringing a modern and corporate perspective to the magical girl genre, Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. (Kabushiki Gaisha Magilumiere) is returning with new details that will excite fans. It has been officially announced that the highly anticipated second season of the series will premiere on July 4, 2026. The second promotional video shared with this announcement gives hints of the action-packed scenes and corporate rivalry that await us in the new season.
The musical side of the new season is also quite ambitious. The opening theme, "Latte Magic", is performed in collaboration with popular artist syudou and Yūsei Yagi from the group FANTASTICS. The ending theme will be "BooooM!!!", performed by the beloved hololive talent Marine Houshou. While the first season was a joint production between J.C.Staff and Moe studios, J.C.Staff is taking over animation production entirely for the second season. Toshinori Fukushima sits in the director's chair this season.
One of the most notable changes in the cast occurred in the voice acting for one of the main characters, Hitomi Koshigaya. Following the departure of Yumiri Hanamori, who voiced the character in the first season, Mariko Higashiuchi has taken over the role. Fairouz Ai continues to bring to life our rookie magical girl Kana Sakuragi, who is known for her incredible memory. Additionally, it was announced that names like Kōsuke Gotō and Taketora have joined the voice cast for the new season.
Based on the Shonen Jump+ manga written by Sekka Iwata and illustrated by Yuu Aoki, the series sets itself apart from other examples of the genre by treating magical girl work as a "profession." The manga, which was published between 2021-2025 and concluded with 18 volumes, blends realistic elements such as job interviews, insurance premiums, and technological equipment with the magical world. The production, which received great attention at the end of its first season in 2024, is preparing to take the story to a much more critical point in its new season.
If you have missed this universe where magical girls "work" not only with wands but also with strategy and corporate discipline, July will be a very busy month for you. The new season is expected to cover some of the most beloved chapters of the manga, where character development reaches its peak. Let's see if Kana and her team can continue to carve out their own path in the shadow of giant corporations.
