English Dub of MAO Anime Starts August 24

Long-awaited news has arrived: The English dub of the MAO anime has been officially announced. According to Anime News Network, the first 13 episodes will be available dubbed on August 24. The second part, consisting of the remaining episodes, will air in November.
From the living legend of the manga world, Rumiko Takahashi, MAO is a supernatural adventure set in both modern Japan and the Taisho period. The series follows Nanoka, a young girl cursed by a witch, and Mao, a mysterious exorcist, on their journey. The signature atmosphere familiar from Takahashi's classics like Inuyasha and Ranma ½ is present here as well.
The anime first aired in Japan in 2024 and quickly gained a large fanbase. Although the late arrival of the English dub disappointed some fans, it is known that the producers have worked carefully to maintain quality. The platform for the dub has not been officially announced yet, but previous Takahashi adaptations have usually been available on Crunchyroll.
This news is great news especially for English-speaking viewers who prefer dubbing over subtitles. Considering the popularity of MAO in the West, we anticipate that the entire series will be dubbed soon with the second part arriving in November. Bringing a new breath to the Takahashi universe, this production has already become one of the most anticipated dub releases of the year.
Platform and cast details are expected to be clarified in the coming days. As fans eagerly await August 24, we too have begun the countdown for both old and new fans to dive into the magical world of MAO.
