MAPPA Special Visual for 15th Anniversary: Nobara Kugisaki in Nighttime Shibuya

MAPPA continues its 15th anniversary celebrations without slowing down. This time, the studio released the third commemorative visual showing Nobara Kugisaki from the Jujutsu Kaisen series walking through the streets of Shibuya at night. The visual is part of the special series the studio has been sharing throughout 2026.
MAPPA was founded in 2011 by former Madhouse producer Masaru Masuda and director Sayo Yamamoto. The studio quickly made a name for itself with huge productions such as Attack on Titan: The Final Season, Chainsaw Man, and Jujutsu Kaisen, and today has become one of the most respected animation houses in the industry. The 15th anniversary visuals pay homage to different periods of the studio and its iconic characters.
While the first visual featured a character from the Kamen Rider series, the second focused on Chainsaw Man's protagonist Denji. The third notably depicts Nobara Kugisaki in the nighttime atmosphere of the Shibuya Incident, one of the most unforgettable scenes from Jujutsu Kaisen. The visual once again demonstrates MAPPA's dedication to the character and the series.
MAPPA's 15th anniversary events are not limited to visuals. The studio is also preparing for special exhibitions, live events, and new project announcements. Especially fans of Jujutsu Kaisen are eagerly awaiting details of the third season, and this visual has renewed interest in the series. Nobara's fate in Shibuya is still fresh in the memories of anime fans.
Studio officials stated, "We want to thank our fans and share our journey. Each visual reflects MAPPA's past and future." Four more visuals are expected to be released. Which production the next visual will be from is already a topic of curiosity.
