Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms Season 2 Announced: First Trailer and Details Released!

One of the favorite series for romantic comedy enthusiasts, Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms (Kuroiwa Medaka ni Watashi no Kawaii ga Tsūjinai), has returned with news that has excited its fans. The series' official website has officially confirmed that the production is on the way by sharing the first teaser video and visual for the second season. The anime, whose first season aired in early 2025, focuses on the fun conflict between the school's most popular girl, Mona Kawai, and the stoic transfer student, Medaka Kuroiwa, who shows no interest in her.
In the new season, some important changes and returns in the technical staff stand out. The first season's director, Yoshiaki Okumura, returns to the director's chair at SynergySP studio, while Mayumi Watanabe continues in character design and Akiyuki Tateyama in music. However, there has been a change in the series' script department; Yoriko Tomita, known for successful works such as My Dress-Up Darling and The Elusive Samurai, has become the new person responsible for the series' composition. In the voice cast, Yū Serizawa as Mona and Ryōta Iwasaki as Medaka will continue to bring their iconic characters to life.
Looking at the history of the series, we see that the manga, written by Ran Kuze, began its journey in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2021. The manga quickly gained great popularity and reached its 24th volume in Japan as of May 15, 2026. The first anime season premiered on January 7, 2025, and for 12 episodes, it followed Mona's attempts to win over Medaka, who is forbidden from getting close to women because he was raised in a temple.
