Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms Season 2 Announced: First Teaser Video and Visual Released

The news that romantic comedy fans have been eagerly waiting for has finally arrived! The second season of the anime Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms (Kuroiwa Medaka ni Watashi no Kawaii ga Tsuujinai), based on Ran Kuze's popular manga, has been officially announced. Along with the announcement, a teaser visual and the first promotional video (PV) that excited fans of the series were shared. Picking up where the first season left off, the new season is preparing to take the competitive love battle between Mona and Medaka to the next level.
The first season of the series met with audiences in January 2025 and quickly gained great popularity. Produced by SynergySP studio, the series follows the efforts of Mona Kawai, the most popular girl in school, to make the transfer student Medaka Kuroiwa, who shows no interest in her, fall in love with her. However, the fact that Medaka was raised as a priest candidate in a temple and took an oath to stay away from women makes this "love battle" quite funny and challenging. With the finale of the first season, fans began to wonder when the ice between the duo would completely melt.
A significant change in the technical staff is noticeable in the second season. Yoriko Tomita, known for successful works like My Dress-Up Darling, replaces Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, who was responsible for the script in the first season. Yoshiaki Okumura will continue to sit in the director's chair. While names like Ryota Iwasaki (Medaka) and Yu Serizawa (Mona) return to their roles in the voice cast, star names such as Sora Amamiya (Asahi) and Kana Hanazawa (Tsubomi) also retain their places in the cast. With new rivals joining the story in the new season, the romantic back-and-forth continues.
