Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms Season 2 Announced: Mona's Love War Continues!

We have great news for romantic comedy fans! The second season of the anime Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms, which was highly acclaimed for its first season, has been officially announced. To celebrate this exciting development, the production team released an eye-catching promotional visual and a short trailer featuring the series' main characters. It seems that Mona's efforts to steal Medaka's heart will become even more competitive and entertaining in the new season.
The story of the series follows the struggle of Mona Kawai, the school's most popular girl who makes everyone admire her, with the transfer student Medaka Kuroiwa, the only boy who shows absolutely no interest in her. Behind Medaka's indifference, however, lies a serious reason: he is being raised as a priest-in-training and is undergoing strict discipline to stay away from worldly pleasures. As Mona tries to break Medaka's will using her beauty and charm, the fact that she is also slowly starting to fall in love with him complicates things even further.
The manga series, written by Ran Kuze and serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine since 2021, quickly became one of the most beloved examples of the genre. On the animation side, the SynergySP studio successfully reflects the vibrant and colorful atmosphere of the manga on screen. The production, whose first season aired between January and March 2025, received full marks from viewers, especially for its character designs and comedic elements. While Yoshiaki Okumura will once again sit in the director's chair for the new season, it is noteworthy that Yoriko Tomita, known for the My Dress-Up Darling series, has joined the team for the screenplay.
As for the voice cast, beloved names are returning to their roles.
