Mission: Yozakura Family Season 2 Part 2 Trailer Released: Release Date Announced!

Mission: Yozakura Family (Yozakura-san Chi no Daisakusen), one of the most notable examples of the spy-themed action and comedy genre in recent years, is back in the spotlight with news that will delight its fans. An official trailer for the second half (Cour 2) of the series' highly anticipated second season has been released. According to the announcement, the adventures of Taiyo Asano and the Yozakura family will continue where they left off in October 2026.
While the first half of the second season is planned to begin in April 2026, the schedule for the second part, which will continue the story, has now been clarified. Produced by the SILVER LINK. studio, the series once again features Mirai Minato in the director's chair. Having both entertained and satisfied viewers with action throughout its 27-episode first season, the series aims to raise the bar even higher in the second season. In the new season, Taiyo is expected to face challenging tasks such as the "Silver Rank Spy Exam," and the plans of the Yozakura family's mysterious father, Momo Yozakura, are expected to be revealed.
The original manga series, created by Hitsuji Gondaira, began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 2019 and concluded in January 2025 with its 258th chapter, forming a massive collection of 29 volumes. The series, which follows the story of Taiyo Asano, an initially introverted high school student who marries into the world's most powerful spy family to protect his childhood friend Mutsumi Yozakura, has gained a large fan base over time with its deepening character development and high-paced battle scenes.
The music for the new season is already drawing attention; the opening theme features the song "What's 'KAZOKU'?" by the group Sakurazaka46, while the ending will be accompanied by the track "Shalala" by Pilaf Alien. It seems that 2026 will be a true feast for Mission: Yozakura Family fans. The series is expected to continue reaching international audiences via both Disney+ and Hulu.
