Mob Psycho 100: New Short Film Coming for 10th Anniversary

Great news for Mob Psycho 100 fans! In honor of the 10th anniversary of the series' anime adaptation, a brand-new short film is being produced, bringing the original team back together. Director Yuzuru Tachikawa and character designer Yoshimichi Kameda are collaborating once again on this special project. It has been announced that the short film will be released with English subtitles.
The first season of the anime adaptation aired in July 2016; therefore, 2026 marks the 10th anniversary of the series. Created by ONE, Mob Psycho 100 quickly became a cult classic with its blend of humor and deep psychological themes. Brought to life with high-quality animation by Studio Bones over three seasons, the series received acclaim, particularly for its fight scenes and character development.
The plot of the new short film has not yet been revealed, but the collaboration between Tachikawa and Kameda promises a production that will capture the spirit of the original trilogy. The OVA titled “Mob Psycho 100: Reigen – The Miraculous Unknown Psychic,” released in 2018, created similar excitement. While keeping the series' popularity alive, this new project might also be a harbinger of a new season or other surprises.
Fans are already eagerly awaiting the release date and platform for the short film. Once an official announcement is made, it is expected to be available for viewers to watch for free, likely via Crunchyroll or YouTube. For everyone who has followed the adventures of Mob and his friends for 10 years, this represents an emotional return.
