MURCIÉLAGO Anime Adaptation Coming in 2027, Streaming Service HIDIVE Announced

The long-running manga series MURCIÉLAGO finally has its anime adaptation confirmed. According to the announcement, the series will be released in 2027 and will be exclusively streamed on the HIDIVE platform. This marks the first anime adaptation of the series drawn by YoshimuraKana.
Published in Young Gangan magazine since 2013, MURCIÉLAGO follows the story of the psychopathic killer protagonist Kuroko Koumori, who hunts criminals on behalf of the government. Known for its action, dark humor, and violent scenes, the manga has reached over 20 volumes and has cultivated a cult fan base worldwide. It has become a favorite especially among readers looking for strong and crazy female characters.
The anime announcement was a long-standing dream for the series. The manga ended in 2024, paving the way for the anime project. HIDIVE's inclusion of high-quality productions in recent years (such as Made in Abyss and Oshi no Ko) makes this selection even more meaningful. The platform picking up an adult-themed series like MURCIÉLAGO raises viewers' expectations.
Although production details and studio information have not yet been announced, this adaptation planned for 2027 is great news for fans of the manga. It is a matter of curiosity how the series' wild scenes and character depth will be translated into anime format. New trailers, studio, and staff announcements are expected in the coming months.
