Exciting Cast News for the New Hokuto no Ken Anime: Three New Names in Episode 8!

The legendary martial arts series Fist of the North Star (Hokuto no Ken) continues to expand its cast as it returns to screens with a modern anime adaptation. According to the latest official announcement, three new voice actors have been cast for the 8th episode of the series, which will air on May 15, 2026. Kaori Ishihara (Taki), Sayuri Sadaoka (Toyo), and Takashi Matsuyama (Jackal) have been announced as the voices bringing these key characters to life in this post-apocalyptic world. It is noted that in the 8th episode, Kenshiro will visit Bat's hometown, where both emotional and action-packed moments will take place.
This new project was brought to life by Warner Bros. Japan to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original manga created by Buronson and Tetsuo Hara. The series, which premiered worldwide on Amazon Prime Video on April 10, 2026, is being produced at TMS Entertainment studios. Hiroshi Maeda sits in the director's chair, while the series' music is composed by the famous composer Yuki Hayashi. In this new version, the lead character Kenshiro is voiced by Shunsuke Takeuchi, accompanied by strong names such as Daiki Yamashita (Bat) and M.A.O (Rin).
Fist of the North Star became a phenomenon with its journey that began in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 1983, selling over 100 million copies worldwide. The original anime series, which aired between 1984 and 1988, left an indelible mark on popular culture with the line "Omae wa Mou Shindeiru" (You are already dead). This 2026 adaptation uses CGI technology
