New JUMP MV for Bleach: ASIAN KUNG-FU Generation's "After Dark" Returns

Bleach fans have great news! The series has released a brand new JUMP MV (music video) featuring ASIAN KUNG-FU Generation's iconic song "After Dark". As one of Jump media brand's animated clips, this video offers a visual feast for one of Bleach's most beloved opening tracks.
"After Dark" was the 7th opening song of the original Bleach anime, used from episode 132 to 167 (after Soul Society, into the early Arrancar arc). The song holds a special place in fans' hearts due to the band's energetic sound and its perfect harmony with the series' dark atmosphere. The new JUMP MV remixes the song with original anime footage, creating a time capsule effect.
These JUMP MVs are special promotional videos created using music from popular series of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. Bleach previously had clips with tracks like "Velonica" and "Ranbu no Melody" as part of this series. However, the choice of "After Dark" came as a pleasant surprise for fans wanting to refresh nostalgia, especially with the Thousand-Year Blood War arc currently airing.
The Bleach manga was published from 2001 to 2016 by Tite Kubo and sold millions of copies worldwide. The anime adaptation ran from 2004 to 2012. The Thousand-Year Blood War arc, which began in 2022, completes the story and has brought the series back into popularity. The release of the new JUMP MV at this time serves as a nod to old viewers and introduces the series' musical legacy to new fans.
You can watch the JUMP MV on the official Shueisha and Bleach accounts. It is not yet known whether Asian Kung-Fu Generation has accompanied the clip with a rearranged version of the song, but fans have already started sharing the video on social media. What song do you think should be next for a Bleach JUMP MV? Let's discuss in the comments!
