New Key Visual and 3rd Trailer Released for Iwatomo-senpai no Suisen

Exciting news for fans of Iwatomo-senpai no Suisen! The new key visual and third promotional video (PV) for the TV anime adaptation of Hiroshi Shibahashi's manga of the same name have been officially released.
According to Natalie's report, the released key visual shows the series' six main characters together. Besides the characters each showcasing their unique abilities, the new PV reveals how these abilities clash in action-filled scenes. The trailer gives viewers a closer look at the series' dynamic fight scenes and the tension between characters.
The series' creator Hiroshi Shibahashi previously worked on popular series like Kekkaishi. The Iwatomo-senpai no Suisen manga first began serialization in 2017 in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine and quickly gained attention for its story based on supernatural abilities. The manga follows a high school student named Iwatomo who encounters a mysterious recommendation system at his school and the supernatural battles behind it.
The first two PVs previously released for the anime adaptation introduced the characters and the basic outline of the story. This third trailer focuses particularly on battle scenes, emphasizing the series' action potential. Although an official release date has not been announced yet, industry sources expect the anime to air in 2025, most likely in the spring season (April-June).
These developments are especially significant for longtime fans of Shibahashi. The fact that a work by the author is getting an anime adaptation again after many years increases the excitement of returning to his universe. At the same time, a generation familiar with Kekkaishi hopes to see a similar magic and combat system in this new series. More details regarding the new cast, release date, and additional visuals are expected in the coming days.
