New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt Collaborates with TENGA

The New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt project continues the series' no-holds-barred style during its promotional period. According to the announcement reported by Anime News Network, the production has launched a promotional collaboration with TENGA, a sexual health and adult products brand. The note accompanying the partnership, announced in August 2026, was “A match made in Heaven … well, Panty & Stocking’s version of Heaven.”
This collaboration is hardly surprising given the series' history. The original Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt was produced by Gainax in 2010 and directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi. After this project, Imaishi became one of the founders of Studio Trigger. The new anime project first made headlines in 2022 with Trigger's announcement at Anime Expo, which revealed that Imaishi and important members of the original team were returning.
The original series quickly achieved cult status with its cheeky humor, sexual references, and animation close to Western cartoon aesthetics, as it followed the two angel sisters Panty and Stocking hunting ghosts with weapons derived from their underwear. TENGA, on the other hand, is a globally recognized sexual health and wellness brand founded in Japan in 2005. This partnership is considered one of the most striking examples of adult-oriented brand collaborations that are becoming increasingly common in the anime industry.
Such campaigns show that anime brands are no longer limited to energy drink or clothing sponsorships. In particular, a series that, by its very nature, centers explicit sexual humor working with a brand that matches its tone is interpreted as a deliberate choice to both draw attention to the new anime and directly reach the adult fanbase. How the characters Panty and Stocking will be used in this campaign is among the details fans are eagerly waiting for.
So far, no detailed announcements have been made about what products will be exclusive to the collaboration or the scope of the campaign. However, Panty & Stocking fans have little trouble predicting that the series' no-holds-barred humor will also be reflected in the marketing language. While the release date and broadcast details for the new anime remain a matter of curiosity, the TENGA collaboration is the first sign that the promotional process for this new era will be quite colorful.
