New Teaser Trailer Released for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 – Coming to Netflix This Fall

The wait for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 continues. The second teaser trailer for the anime, co-produced by Netflix and CD Projekt Red, has been officially released. The trailer gives fans a short but intense comeback while confirming that the production will arrive on the platform this fall.
The first season, which received great acclaim in 2022, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was animated by Studio Trigger and directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi. The story set in the dark and neon-lit streets of Night City deeply moved viewers with the tragic love story of David Martinez and Lucy. In the trailer, hints of new characters and a larger cyberpsychosis threat are given. It is also reported that Akira Yamaoka, who composed the original series' music, is returning.
No detailed plot summary for the new season has been shared yet, but it is said that the producers are covering a period after the events of the first season's finale. The visual language of the trailer points to the highly stylized and fluid action scenes that have become Studio Trigger's signature. In particular, a new Cyberpunk symbol seen in the final frame has sparked theories among fans.
The original Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was praised by critics and viewers upon release, winning many awards including Anime of the Year at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards. The success of the series also revived interest in CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077 game. Therefore, the announcement of the second season was met with great excitement by both the anime and gaming communities.
Netflix and Studio Trigger have not yet announced a specific release date, but given the phrase "this fall," a launch between September and November is expected. A new trailer and character introductions are likely in the coming weeks. Calendars are already marked for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2.
