New Trailer, Cast, and Release Date Announced for Historical Anime 'The World Is Dancing'!

Exciting developments have occurred for the anime The World Is Dancing, based on Kazuto Mihara's acclaimed manga! The main trailer for the production has been released, new voice actors have joined the cast, and most importantly, the anime will premiere in Japan on July 2, 2026. These announcements have generated great excitement among anime fans eagerly awaiting the historical drama.
The newly released trailer offers a closer look at the series' atmosphere and characters, while also introducing the opening theme song, "Shusho" (終宵), performed by the band Macaroni Empitsu, to the audience for the first time. The anime will begin on July 2, 2026, at 22:00 Japan time on Tokyo MX and KBS Kyoto channels, followed by broadcasts on other channels.
New names joining the anime's rich voice cast and the characters they will portray have also been announced. Renowned voice actor Takahiro Sakurai will play Ashikaga Yoshimitsu, the powerful shogun of the Northern Court. Sakurai is known for iconic roles such as Cloud Strife in Final Fantasy VII, Suzaku Kururugi in Code Geass, and Suguru Geto in Jujutsu Kaisen. Nobuo Tobita will take on the role of Nijo Yoshimoto, a poet and court lord deeply admiring Oniyasha, having previously voiced characters like Kamille Bidan in Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam and Zetsu in Naruto. Mamiko Noto will voice Nariko, Yoshimitsu's gentle wife, and is widely known for roles such as Rin in Inuyasha and Sawako Kuronuma in Kimi ni Todoke. Inori Minase will lend her voice to the character Chiharu, who does not appear in the manga but was created for the anime
