New Voice Cast for Magic Knight Rayearth Anime: Saori Hayami, Yuki Ono and Mika Kikuchi Join

New voice cast members have been added to the highly anticipated Magic Knight Rayearth anime adaptation. In the adaptation based on CLAMP's classic manga, Saori Hayami will voice Emeraude, Yuki Ono will voice Zagato, and Mika Kikuchi will voice Mokona. This trio will bring life to the key characters of the story.
In the previously announced main cast, Fumino Kimura voices Hikaru Shidou, Momo Asakura voices Umi Ryuuzaki, and Mariko Nagai voices Fuu Hououji. The new anime is being prepared with a more modern production approach compared to the series' first adaptation in the 1990s. Fans who say, “It will be great to rediscover CLAMP's magical world in this project,” are eagerly wondering how an experienced voice actor like Saori Hayami will perform in the role of Emeraude.
The team behind the production also draws attention: Magic Knight Rayearth will be animated by studio GEMBA, and Shin'ichi Suzuki will be in the director's seat. The series is planned for release in 2025. For fans familiar with CLAMP's works such as Cardcaptor Sakura and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, this new adaptation offers an opportunity to blend nostalgia with a fresh breath.
Meanwhile, the original Magic Knight Rayearth anime, which aired between 1994-1995, made a big splash on Tokyo television and gained a worldwide fan base. It is said that the new series will stay more faithful to the original manga and is being prepared as a 24-episode season in line with modern animation standards. While the release date and platform details have not yet been clarified, the producers plan to share more information in the coming months.
