Ojisan wa Kawaii Mono ga Osuki Anime Starts in October 2025: Voice Cast and First Promo Video Released

Ojisan wa Kawaii Mono ga Osuki (translated as “Middle-Aged Man and Cute Things”) anime is coming to screens in October 2025. According to a report from Natalie in Japan, the series' start date has been confirmed, and the highly anticipated voice cast and first promo video (PV) were announced simultaneously.
The main character Mitsuki Koji will be voiced by Kazuyuki Okitsu. Okitsu is an experienced voice actor who has appeared in works such as Jujutsu Kaisen and Demon Slayer. Accompanying him, Pug Taro will be portrayed by Miyu Tomita. You may know Tomita from her performance in Kaguya-sama: Love is War. The rest of the cast and supporting characters will be announced in the coming months.
This comedy-drama series, adapted from Tsutomu’s manga of the same name, follows Mitsuki Koji, an office worker with a secret admiration for cute things. Initially perceived as stern by his colleagues, this middle-aged man actually has a heart that melts at the sight of plush toys and adorable objects. The manga has been serialized on Kadokawa’s ComicWalker platform since 2018 and has won readers' hearts with its “warm-hearted adult” theme.
The anime is produced by Studio Signpost. Directed by Atsushi Nigorikawa, the script is written by Shigeru Murakoshi. Character designs are entrusted to Yoshiki Onoda. The first promo video showcases both Mitsuki’s interactions with cute things and Pug Taro’s funny moments, reflecting the series’ cheerful tone.
This announcement has been a great source of excitement, especially for fans who have been following the manga for a long time. “Ojikaw” fans can expect more trailers and character introductions before the broadcast starts in October 2025. The anime will air on NHK, the broadcaster of works such as Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibouken and To Your Eternity. The number of episodes has not yet been confirmed, but the first season is estimated to have 12 or 13 episodes.
