Release Date and Cast Announced for Ojisan wa Kawaii Mono ga Osuki Anime

Finally, exciting details have been shared for the Ojisan wa Kawaii Mono ga Osuki anime. According to Anime News Network, the newly released promotional video announced that the series will air on television in October 2026. Additionally, the voice cast and the staff behind it have been officially revealed.
The voice cast includes Kazuyuki Okitsu (as the main character, the old uncle), Miyu Tomita, Fūka Izumi, Yurie Funato, Asami Tano, and Hinata Satō. Considering that Okitsu is known for his performances in productions such as Jujutsu Kaisen and Mob Psycho 100, we can say that he will truly suit this role.
The original manga of the series has been published on the Comic Days platform by author and illustrator Ueda Ryō since 2019. The manga depicts the daily life of a retired uncle with a weakness for cute things, through comedic events with his family and those around him. The work, which has garnered great interest from both Japanese and international readers, will now reach a wider audience with its anime adaptation.
Although the production studio and director of the anime have not yet been announced, the visual quality and casting choices in the promotional video show that the project is being taken seriously. Especially with the recent popularity of productions with an “old but cute” concept, adapting such a series has been a very timely decision. Manga fans are eager to see our uncle’s adventures with plush toys in the animation.
The series, which will start in October 2026, is expected to run for 12 episodes and air weekly. It's worth following new announcements from official channels. What do you think will be our uncle's favorite kawaii item? Let's meet in the comments!
