One Piece Live Action Season 3 Filming Completed: Release Date 2027

One Piece live-action series' third season filming has been completed. According to Netflix's announcement, the new season will be released in 2027. The news created great excitement among fans because the completion of filming for the third season while the second season has not yet been released shows that production is progressing without slowing down.
The series' creator Eiichiro Oda is known to be actively involved in the production. Oda had previously stated in statements that he directly participates in the script and visual design processes to preserve the original spirit of the live-action adaptation. The third season is expected to cover the Alabasta and Sky Island (Skypiea) arcs of the manga series. These arcs are among the most beloved and visually ambitious stories of the series.
Netflix released the first season in 2023 and it received great acclaim. Filming for the second season was completed in the summer of 2024 and is planned for release in late 2025. The announcement of the third season so early demonstrates the platform's confidence in and investment in the series. Especially considering that many live-action adaptations have ended in failure recently, One Piece's consistency in this area is noteworthy.
Whether there will be any changes to the cast has not been announced yet. However, Iñaki Godoy as Luffy, Mackenyu as Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji are expected to continue in their roles. Among the characters joining the story in the new season are important names like Chopper, Robin, and Vivi.
Although the year 2027 may seem far away for fans, during this time they will have the opportunity to watch the second season and follow the continuity of the series. Additionally, Netflix announced that it is working to increase the quality of the visual effects team behind the production. The One Piece live-action series received full marks from critics for its faithfulness to the manga and its cast performances. It is eagerly awaited whether the third season can sustain this success.
