New Voice Cast and Trailer Released for Oni no Hanayome Anime!

Oni no Hanayome (The Ogre's Bride), one of Japan's popular romantic fantasy series, continues its preparations for its television anime adaptation without slowing down. With the latest announcement from the series' official channels, new names who will voice key characters in the story have been revealed, and a second promotional video (PV) has been shared where we can hear the characters' voices for the first time. In the newly announced cast, Taito Ban will voice Takamichi, Nobunaga Shimazaki will voice Ouga, and Aya Endo will voice Sakurako.
Written by Kureha and adapted into a manga by Jun Togashi, the series is set in a world in modern Japan where humans and supernatural beings called "ayakashi" coexist. At the center of the story is Yuzu Shinonome, a high school student who is looked down upon by her family and lives in the shadow of her sister. Yuzu's life changes completely when she encounters Reiya Kiryuin, an ogre (oni) who is one of the most powerful types of ayakashi. Reiya declares that he has chosen Yuzu as his bride, pulling her away from this unhappy life.
The anime is being produced by Colored Pencil Animation Japan studio, with Kazuhito Ōmiya serving as the director. The music for the series is composed by the famous composer Masaru Yokoyama, known for works such as Your Lie in April and Horimiya. The presence of major names like Saori Hayami (Yuzu) and Yūichirō Umehara (Reiya) in the lead roles has already pushed expectations among fans of the series to the peak. In particular, the success of the source material, which has sold more than 6.5 million copies, makes the anime
