Osomatsu-san Celebrates Its 10th Anniversary: Special Events and Unreleased Episodes Are Coming

The most absurd and beloved sextuplets in the world of popular anime are returning! Organized in honor of the 10th anniversary of the Osomatsu-san series, the "10th ANNIVERSARY OSOMATSUSAN SPECIAL 6DAYS Opening Festival" will meet fans in theaters in Tokyo and Kanagawa on June 6th. On this special day, where a total of six different performances will be showcased, both nostalgic and never-before-seen surprises await the series' fans.
One of the most exciting aspects of the event will be the Osomatsu-san team splitting into two groups: the "Older Brothers" and the "Younger Brothers." The screenings, which will take place in prestigious theaters such as Shinjuku Piccadilly and Marunouchi Piccadilly, are expected to feature key members of the series' voice cast. Additionally, the fact that special episodes never before aired on television will be shown at the festival holds great significance for collectors and hardcore followers.
Osomatsu-san is based on legendary mangaka Fujio Akatsuka's 1962 series Osomatsu-kun. Modernized by Studio Pierrot in 2015 and turned into a comedy focusing on their adulthood, the production quickly became a social phenomenon in Japan. The voice cast, consisting of star names such as Takahiro Sakurai, Yuichi Nakamura, and Hiroshi Kamiya, played a major role in the series' success.
This 10th-anniversary celebration not only commemorates the past but also carries hints about the future of the series. Fans are eagerly waiting to see if a new season or film announcement will follow this big gathering on June 6th. The unique humor and chaotic energy of the Osomatsu-san universe continue to solidify its place in the anime world in its tenth year.
