Pinkfong's Bebefinn Series Turns into Original Animated Series for Amazon Kids+

Pinkfong's popular Bebefinn series is expanding with an original animated series prepared for Amazon's streaming platform for children, Amazon Kids+. Announced by The Pinkfong Company, the project moves the Bebefinn universe to a new media channel on a global scale.
The new series will include not only Bebefinn songs already loved by millions of young viewers but also original music produced specifically for this series. Amazon Kids+'s child-friendly and ad-free structure provides an ideal environment to deliver Bebefinn's educational and entertaining content to a wide audience. Although a release date has not been announced yet, production is expected to begin in the coming months.
Pinkfong became a worldwide phenomenon with the song "Baby Shark". Bebefinn, introduced in 2021 as a pink baby octopus character, quickly gained a large following with short animations and songs targeting especially the 0-4 age group. This new Amazon deal is seen as an important part of the brand's growth strategy with licensed products and digital content.
Amazon Kids+ is positioning itself as a competitor to the children's platforms of Netflix and Disney+, and aims to incorporate proven brands like Bebefinn. The Pinkfong Company CEO Min-Seok Kim said in a statement regarding the matter, "The partnership with Amazon Kids+ will enable us to bring Bebefinn's creative and educational world to more families. We will continue to contribute to children's development with new songs and stories."
Why is this news important? Bebefinn's transition to a major streaming platform shows the trend of popular children's content in short video format evolving into long-running series projects. It also indicates an increase in collaboration between South Korea-based content companies and Western platforms. Fans will explore Bebefinn and friends' adventures more deeply in new episodes, while families will have the opportunity to watch quality children's content in a reliable environment. The series' release date and first trailer may be announced in the coming months.
