New Arc for Pokémon Horizons 'Wonder Voyage' Announced: New Songs from Liko and Roy Are on the Way!

The Pokémon Horizons series is preparing to enter a brand-new era that will excite its fans. The first details for the series' highly anticipated new chapter, 'Wonder Voyage', have been shared. Along with this new arc, design documents for fresh characters joining the story have surfaced, and information regarding new music that will change the atmosphere of the series has become clear. The most notable development is that the new opening song will be performed by our protagonists themselves.
The opening theme (OP) for the new era will be a special character song performed by the duo Liko (voiced by Minori Suzuki) and Roy (voiced by Yuka Terasaki). This indicates that the bond between the characters within the story is also being reinforced musically. For the ending theme (ED), it has been announced that an agreement has been reached with the popular music group Q-Suto. The production studio OLM shared draft sketches of the new characters, signaling the new friends and foes that the Rising Volt Tacklers team will encounter on this journey.
Starting after the conclusion of Ash Ketchum's legendary 25-year journey in April 2023, Pokémon Horizons brought a completely different breath of fresh air to the series. Rather than traditional Gym battles, it adopted an exploration-focused narrative centered around Liko's mysterious pendant and Roy's ancient Poké Ball. Viewers who witnessed the characters' growth in the Terastal Debut arc will embark on a journey toward the previously unexplored corners and ancient secrets of the Pokémon world with Wonder Voyage.
This new arc aims to carry the general tone of the series to a more epic level, not limited to just music and characters. In particular, the deepening of the Explorers organization's plans and Liko's maturation as a trainer are among the most discussed topics within the fan community. With these new episodes expected to air in the coming weeks, it seems the transformation of the Pokémon universe in the modern era will continue at full speed.
