Re:ZERO Season 4 Episode 2 Preview Images and Trailer Released!

One of the most beloved isekai series in the anime world, Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-, has made a fast return to screens with its fourth season. Following the grand premiere on April 8, 2026, the production team has now presented the preview images and teaser trailer for the highly anticipated second episode to fans. This new episode, which will meet viewers on April 15, reveals in more detail the first steps Subaru Natsuki and his friends have taken toward the mysterious Pleiades Watchtower.
The fourth season covers Arc 6: Corridor of Memories, which is described by fans of the series as a "masterpiece" and begins from the 21st volume of the light novel series. This season is planned to consist of a total of 19 episodes and is divided into two parts. While the first 11 episodes, the Loss Arc, are airing during the spring season, the remaining 8 episodes of the Recapture Arc will meet viewers starting August 12, 2026. In the newly released images, the anxious expressions of Emilia and Beatrice in the library scenes, in particular, give clues as to how tense the atmosphere of this episode will be.
Looking at the history of the series, the production, prepared by White Fox studio, is known for its deep psychological narrative penned by Tappei Nagatsuki. At the end of the third season, Julius Juukulius's name being erased by the Archbishop of Gluttony and Rem still not having awakened were the main sources of motivation that drove Subaru to these dangerous sand dunes. In this new season, with Masahiro Shinohara in the director's chair, Subaru's "Return by Death" ability is expected to be pushed to its limits more than ever before.
This episode is of great importance to fans, as the Pleiades Watchtower is known as the place that holds critical information regarding Sage Shaula and the Witch Satella, two of the series' biggest mysteries. The trailer, which caused a great stir on social media, proves that the animation quality continues at White Fox standards, while the presence of Kenichiro Suehiro's signature on the music strengthens the atmosphere. What Subaru will sacrifice in this new loop and whether he will be able to bring Rem back will be among the most talked-about topics in the anime community in the coming weeks.
