New Promotional Video Released for Iwamoto-san no Osusume (Mr. Iwamoto's Recommendation) Anime

Exciting news! The third promotional video has been released for the Recommendation from Mr. Iwamoto (Turkish: İwamoto-san’ın Tavsiyesi) anime. The trailer gives us the first listen of the series' opening song, along with a brand new key visual. The anime will air on television in Japan on July 4, 2026.
In the new video, we get a closer look at the series' colorful characters and warm atmosphere. The opening song features an upbeat melody reflecting the themes of youth and discovery. Although the song's title or artist has not been officially announced yet, fans are already filled with anticipation. The released visual captures a moment between the main characters Iwamoto and Aoi, with a schoolyard and warm colors in the background.
The anime is adapted from the manga of the same name. The manga originally began serialization in 2021 on Shueisha's digital platform Shonen Jump+. The story follows Aoi, an ordinary high school student, whose life changes after meeting the mysterious and popular teacher Iwamoto. Blending romantic comedy and slice-of-life elements, the series is particularly praised for its natural dialogue between characters. This work by author-artist Koko Fuji quickly gained a large fanbase.
This new adaptation is being produced by Studio Alchemist (though unconfirmed, the studio is often associated with such productions). The director is Yoshiki Yamakawa, and the screenplay is written by Yoshiko Nakamura. Fans are eagerly awaiting how the emotional moments and humor of the manga will be translated to the screen. More character voice cast announcements or a second trailer may come in the following weeks. Mark July 4 on your calendars — one of the sweetest surprises of this summer might be waiting for us!
