Record of Ragnarok Season 4 Announced: A New Chapter in the War Between Humanity and the Gods!

The long-awaited news for Record of Ragnarok (Shuumatsu no Valkyrie) fans has finally arrived! According to an official announcement made on June 26, 2026, production for the series' fourth season, Record of Ragnarok IV, has officially begun. Along with the announcement, Warner Bros. Japan shared an exciting teaser video, a new season logo, and a special celebratory illustration by the manga's artist Azychika, featuring Okita Souji and Kondo Isami.
Coming after the third season concluded on Netflix in December 2025, this announcement will focus on one of the most critical points in the story. As fans will recall, Season 3 covered the epic battles between Qin Shi Huang vs Hades, Nikola Tesla vs Beelzebub, and finally King Leonidas vs Apollo. The new season is expected to cover the 10th and 11th rounds of the tournament. In particular, the breathtaking sword duel between Okita Souji and Susanoo-no-Mikoto has already become a major topic of curiosity among fans.
Messages from the series' creators are also pushing expectations to the limit. Illustrator Azychika announced that the new season will feature not only sword fights but also a "gunfight" and complex conspiracies. Writer Shinya Umemura stated that Season 4 will host matches with high strategic depth, much like the Jack the Ripper fight. These statements are interpreted as a strong sign that the legendary sniper Simo Häyhä, whom fans have been waiting for for a long time, may finally enter the arena.
Starting in Monthly Comic Zenon magazine in 2017 and exceeding 18 million copies sold worldwide as of 2026, Record of Ragnarok has become a modern phenomenon with its unique structure that pits mythological gods against the greatest human figures in history. On the animation side, the partnership between Yumeta Company and MARU Animation is expected to continue its success. Although no exact release date has been announced, considering the schedule of previous seasons, it is estimated that the new episodes could meet the audience in early 2027. The excited wait continues to see if humanity can reach the 7 victories needed to survive.
