'Reincarnated in a Mafia Dating Sim' Anime Is Coming as a TV Series

TO Books recently confirmed that the anime adaptation of Tōko Amekawa's beloved light novel series Reincarnated in a Mafia Dating Sim (Akutō Ikka no Manamusume) will be broadcast as a television series. The project, previously announced only as an 'anime adaptation,' will now officially be realized as a TV series.
The series tells the story of a woman who is reborn as the daughter of a ruthless mafia family. The original work, written by Tōko Amekawa and illustrated by Mūnī, began publication in 2020 under TO Books' TO Bunko label. The light novel quickly gained a large fanbase due to its blend of dark mafia themes with romantic simulation game elements. So far, 8 volumes of the series have been published and it is ongoing.
The production studio, director, or release date for the anime adaptation have not been announced yet. However, TO Books' announcement clarified that the project will be a standard TV series, not a film or OVA. Especially as interest in the 'reincarnation' and 'reverse isekai' genres has grown in otaku culture in recent years, this romantic comedy set in a mafia environment stands out with its unique concept.
Fans are eagerly awaiting to see the series' rich characters and action-packed scenes, as well as the intricate schemes woven by the protagonist's clever plans on screen. The series previously had a manga adaptation published in Manga Time Kirara Carat. As of the new year, the official promotion page and staff details are expected to be shared. It's worth following the developments!
