Rent-A-Girlfriend Season 5 and The Warrior Princess and the Barbaric King English Dub Casts Announced

An exciting development has taken place in the anime world this week! As the popular romantic comedy series Rent-A-Girlfriend (Kanojo, Okarishimasu) returns with its 5th season, the new fantasy-romantic comedy production The Warrior Princess and the Barbaric King has also met with its audience. The highly anticipated English dub casts for both series have been officially announced, and the first episodes began streaming on Crunchyroll as of April 23, 2026. This development once again proves how important both series are for their global audiences.
Adapted from Reiji Miyajima's globally acclaimed manga series, Rent-A-Girlfriend continues to explore the complex relationship between Kazuya Kinoshita and Chizuru Mizuhara in its 5th season. In the new season's English voice cast, Alex Mai voices the character Kazuya, while Celeste Perez voices Chizuru. Produced by TMS Entertainment, this season focuses on the thrilling continuation of the "Hawaii Resort" arc, which fans have been waiting for a long time. Kazuomi Koga sits in the director's chair, while the music is once again composed by Hyadain.
On the other hand, The Warrior Princess and the Barbaric King, adapted from Noriaki Kotoba's manga "Hime Kishi wa Barbaroi no Yome," presents an unusual love story set in a fantasy world. The events, which begin with the West's strongest knight Serafina being captured by the East's "barbarian" king Veor and receiving an unexpected marriage proposal, promise both comedy and action to the viewers. In the English dub, Madeleine Norton brings the character Serafina to life, while Cris George voices King Veor. Brought to life by the Jumondo studio, the series has become one of the most notable productions of this spring season with its 12-episode first season.
The simultaneous release of these two productions with dubs once again highlights the speed of globalization in the anime industry and the success of the "simuldub" (simultaneous dubbing) trend. The fact that long-running series like Rent-A-Girlfriend have reached a 5th season is proof of their enduring popularity among fans of the genre. The Warrior Princess and the Barbaric King, meanwhile, brings a breath of fresh air for fantasy lovers with its "enemies-to-lovers" theme. Both series will continue to keep anime fans glued to their screens with their weekly episodes, available in both subtitled and dubbed options.
