The famous seiyuu, who has brought unforgettable characters like Megumin (KonoSuba) and Emilia (Re:Zero) to life, is preparing to shift gears in this new era, not just with her voice acting talent, but with her musical identity as well. Along with the news of her transfer, Takahashi also shared the exciting announcement that she has begun working on a brand-new music project under her new label.
The artist's musical journey is not actually new. Having made her official solo debut in 2021 with the EP titled "LADYBUG" under the A-Sketch (AstroVoice) label, Rie Takahashi has received great acclaim since then for both her character songs and personal albums. However, joining the ranks of a giant like Sony Music means greater visibility in the international arena and larger production opportunities for the artist. Her return to the scene with such powerful news, especially following her vocal cord surgery in 2025, has sparked great joy among her fans.
The timing of this transfer is also quite remarkable.
