Rilakkuma's New Season Coming with 'Tekuteku World Travel': Trailer and Visual Released

Japan's beloved character series Rilakkuma is preparing for a new adventure. San-X's iconic lazy bear will take viewers on a world tour with the second season of its short animation series. According to the announcement by Japanese anime news site Natalie, the new season is titled "Tekuteku World Travel". At the same time, a new promotional video (PV) and key visual have been released.
The released trailer shows moments of Rilakkuma and his friends Kiiroitori and Korilakkuma exploring different countries. Travel-themed suitcases, passports, and plane tickets stand out in the visuals. The previous season of the series, "Rilakkuma and Kaoru" (2019), was released on Netflix and depicted calm moments of daily life. The new season, on the other hand, seems to show the characters in a more dynamic framework as they travel around the world.
The first season was made using stop-motion technique and consisted of 13 short episodes. Rilakkuma's new travel-themed story promises pleasant moments for viewers, likely again in short episodes and with its relaxing tone. San-X's character Rilakkuma, since its launch in 2003, has reached a large fan base especially in Asia, becoming a favorite for those who want to de-stress with its soft and calm nature.
No official release date on Netflix or other platforms has been announced yet. However, the release of the trailer and visual indicates that production is in its final stages and that it will soon meet the audience on a platform (most likely Netflix). Fans are eagerly wondering which countries Rilakkuma will visit and which friends will accompany him on his travel adventure. Stay tuned for updates.
