Big News for Romelia War Chronicle Anime: Two-Part Massive Season and New Voice Cast Announced!

Big news awaited by Romelia War Chronicle (Romelia Senki) fans has arrived from the AnimeJapan 2026 event. According to the official announcement, the highly anticipated anime adaptation will be broadcast in 2026 as a "split two-cour" (a total of six months in two separate parts). This extended broadcast period is seen as the greatest proof that the series' deep story and military strategy elements will be handled without being rushed.
The new names joining the cast reinforce the project's ambitious stance. Yūya Hirose will voice the character of Henri, Romelia's former fiancé, while we will watch Sayaka Senbongi in the role of the saint Elisabeth. Mariya Ise will bring the wise Ekaterina to life, and the master swordsman Ryoki will be voiced by the famous singer Asaka. These names will join Yuna Nemoto, who was previously announced as the voice of the lead character Romelia von Graham.
Adapted from Ryo Ariyama's popular light novel series, the production stands apart from conventional fantasy stories. Telling the story of Princess Romelia, who is kicked out of the hero's party after the Demon King is defeated because she is labeled "useless," the series focuses on the struggle to rebuild a world devastated by war. Produced by Studio Atra, the anime is directed by Hiroshi Shirai, while the music bears the signature of the famous composer KOHTA YAMAMOTO, known for works such as Attack on Titan and 86.
Selling over 500,000 copies and achieving great success in both novel and manga formats, Romelia War Chronicle draws attention with its structure that blends political intrigue and military fantasy. The two-part broadcast plan will offer fans the opportunity to see in detail Romelia's strategic genius and how she uses her mysterious power called "Grace." New trailers for the anime, which is expected to be one of the most ambitious productions of 2026, are expected to be released in the coming months.
