Rose Guns Days Visual Novel's 2nd Season Releases on July 30

MangaGamer has officially announced the second season of the Rose Guns Days visual novel series by Ryukishi07 (Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Umineko no Naku Koro ni). The company announced that Season 2 will be released on July 30, 2026, both on the MangaGamer store and Steam. The first season (Season 1: The Last Heiress) was released on April 9 on the same platforms.
Developed by Ryukishi07 and his studio 07th Expansion, Rose Guns Days is set in an alternate 1947 Japan after World War II. After the war, the country is divided under the influence of China and America; society is on the brink of collapse. The story revolves around Rose, a female leader fighting for power in the underworld. Blending action, drama, and mystery, the work is known for its deep character analysis and engaging narrative, just like Ryukishi07's previous works.
Originally released episodically in Japan between 2012 and 2014, Rose Guns Days is being published in English for the first time in the West by MangaGamer. The translation and launch of the first season garnered great interest, receiving positive feedback especially from Ryukishi07 fans and lovers of retro-atmospheric visual novels. With the release of Season 2, a significant part of the series' main story will be completed. The series consists of three seasons, and the final season is expected to be announced in the coming months.
In recent years, MangaGamer has taken significant steps to bring the 07th Expansion catalog to the West. Having previously published titles like Umineko: When They Cry and Ciconia no Naku Koro ni in English, the company appeals to both genre enthusiasts and general players who love post-war drama with Rose Guns Days. After the July 30 launch, the goal is to offer a more comprehensive experience of the Ryukishi07 universe as the entire series becomes accessible in the West.
