Saga of Tanya the Evil II Trailer Released: New Character and Songs

Exciting news has come for fans of Saga of Tanya the Evil II. The second trailer for the anime provided the first listen to both the opening and ending songs, while also announcing a new voice actor joining the cast. The trailer confirmed that the series will air on July 8.
The new trailer revealed that Eiji Hanawa has joined the project. Although it is not yet specified which character he will voice, he was briefly shown in the trailer. This has increased excitement for the second season. The animation, produced by NUT studio as with the first season, appears to maintain the same quality. With the opening song “Jingo” (performed by Aoi Teshima) and the ending song “Kono Sekai no Hate” (MYTH & ROID), the series is also ambitious in terms of music.
As we recall, Saga of Tanya the Evil was adapted from the light novel series of the same name by Carlo Zen. The first season aired in 2017, followed by a film in 2019. Set in an alternate history, the story follows a Japanese salaryman who is reincarnated by a god-like being as the war goddess Tanya von Degurechaff and his struggle to survive in a merciless world. The series is known for blending political and military themes with deep character psychology.
The release date of the second season has been a great relief for fans who have been waiting for a long time. The production had been delayed several times, with the date constantly changing due to the pandemic and production schedule. Now July 8 has been clearly set. The trailer showcases action scenes as well as Tanya's characteristic composure and strategic intelligence.
This new season is expected to adapt the continuation volumes of the original light novel series. Therefore, the story will enter a period where World War I-like conflicts escalate further. Fans will closely follow Tanya's rise in the Imperial army and her battle with “Being X”. The countdown has begun; the first episode will air on July 8 and will likely be available on international platforms the same day.
