Saga of Tanya the Evil Season 2 Introduces Songs by MYTH & ROID and Aoi Yuki in New Trailer
Fans who have been waiting for years, the second season of The Saga of Tanya the Evil (Youjo Senki) has appeared with a new trailer. According to Anime Corner, the trailer especially focuses on the opening and ending themes. The opening song is performed by MYTH & ROID, who have previously worked on productions such as Re:Zero and Overlord, while the ending song is performed by Aoi Yuki, the voice actress for the character Tanya.
The first season aired in 2017 and is adapted from Carlo Zen's light novel series of the same name. Tanya the Evil stands out with its war story set in an alternate history. The series tells the story of a businessman who defies God and is reincarnated as a little girl soldier, Tanya von Degurechaff, thrown onto the battlefield. The first season received great acclaim from both critics and viewers, quickly achieving cult status.
Although the second season was announced in 2021, its release date was postponed several times due to the busy schedule of the production studio NUT and the detailed production process.
