Saori Hayami Joins Cast as Voice of Cyborg 003 Francoise Alnul for Cyborg 009: Nemesis Anime

The highly anticipated Cyborg 009: Nemesis anime has added another important name to its voice cast. Renowned voice actress Saori Hayami (known for her roles in productions such as My Hero Academia, Attack on Titan, and Demon Slayer) will bring the character Cyborg 003, also known as Francoise Alnul, to life in the series. The anime aims to meet viewers this summer.
Francoise Alnul is one of the most beloved characters from the original Cyborg 009 manga. Silent, emotional, and possessing strong telepathic abilities, this character is known as the heart of the team. The selection of Saori Hayami for this role has generated great satisfaction among fans. Hayami had previously proven her talent across a wide range, voicing Kaguya Shinomiya in Kaguya-sama: Love is War, Fubuki in One Punch Man, and many characters in Fate/Grand Order.
Based on the iconic manga by series creator Shotaro Ishinomori, Cyborg 009: Nemesis was announced as a reinterpretation of the original story. First announced in 2025, the project aims to introduce the classic story to a new generation of viewers with modern animation techniques and an updated script. Previous adaptations of the series include the 2001 Cyborg 009: The Cyborg Soldier and the 2015 film 009 Re:Cyborg. The new series intends to stay true to Ishinomori's original vision while adding a deeper psychological dimension to the characters.
Although the production team has not yet officially announced the other voice actors and the release date, the announcement of Saori Hayami indicates that the series is preparing for its summer release. Previous Cyborg 009 anime, especially in the early 2000s, gained a large fanbase. The new series is expected to attract both old fans and new viewers. We are likely to get detailed trailer and release date news in the coming weeks.
