Sasaki and Pii-chan Season 2 Starts in October – New Visual and Trailer Released

Sasaki and Pii-chan (Sasaki to Pii-chan) anime's second season will officially be on screens in October 2025. According to sources in Japan, a new key visual and a motion trailer have also been released simultaneously. In the trailer, the neighbor girl Kunou's blushing face draws attention – signaling that the romantic tensions will increase in the second season.
Based on the popular light novel series written by Buncololi and illustrated by Kantoku, the anime aired its first season in January 2024 with Silver Link studio. The first season focused on Sasaki, an ordinary office worker, who travels to different worlds thanks to a talking budgie he bought from a pet shop. Things got complicated when it turned out the bird was actually a powerful wizard.
The news that the second season will start in October is something many fans have been waiting for. The series was loved for blending both isekai and slice-of-life comedy. The new trailer shows moments where Sasaki tries to cope with both his work life and his adventures in the other world. Also, scenes where Kunou's feelings towards Sasaki become more apparent stand out. This suggests that the second season may place more emphasis on romantic elements.
Shortly after the first season's 12-episode run ended, the second season was announced. At that time, the studio excited fans with the message "we are still at the beginning of the story." Now, the upcoming season is expected to adapt volumes 4 and 5 of the original light novel. In these volumes, Sasaki's influence in the other world increases while the secrets of the character Peep (Pii-chan) are explored more deeply. The new episodes are expected to air on Japanese television and also be simulcast on international platforms.
The first season of the series attracted attention for successfully using the talking animal friend concept and its light humor. The second season starting in October makes Sasaki and Pii-chan one of the most anticipated shows of the autumn season. With the trailer's release, posts under the hashtag #SasakiPeep2 have accelerated on social media. New voice cast and additional visuals are expected to be revealed soon.
