Sasaki and Peeps Season 2 Arrives in October 2026: New Director and Returning Team Members

Exciting news for Sasaki and Peeps fans! The second season of the anime series will officially begin in October 2026. A promotional video released for the new season, produced by SILVER LINK studio, revealed both the release date and key staff members.
Yūshi Ibe, who served as episode director and assistant director in the first season, returns as the series' chief director. Ibe's promotion shows the studio's trust in talents nurtured internally. On the other hand, it was stated that important team members from the first season, such as screenwriter Kazuyuki Fudeyasu and character designer Saori Nakashiki, remain on the project. This reassurance gives fans confidence that quality and consistency will be maintained.
The series is based on the light novel series of the same name written by Buncololi and illustrated by Kantoku. The first season aired from January to March 2024 and followed Sasaki, an office worker, who transitions to a magical world through a talking bird named Peeps. Blending isekai, comedy, and supernatural elements, the production quickly gained a wide audience. Expectations are high for where the story will go in the second season.
The new season starting in October 2026 makes Sasaki and Peeps stand out among many recently announced isekai productions. In particular, the open-ended finale of the first season has fans eagerly awaiting new episodes. Considering that SILVER LINK has previously produced successful works such as Bofuri and Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya, the visual quality is expected to be high in the second season as well.
According to official sources, Sasaki's voice actor Yūsuke Shirai and Peeps' voice actor Juri Kimura will reprise their roles in the new season. A detailed broadcast schedule and additional cast information are expected to be announced in the coming months. This news has been a great morale boost for the community, especially as it ends the period of uncertainty following the first season. We can anticipate that excitement will build with new trailers and posters leading up to October.
