Seto Asami and Akabane Kenji Join 'Buchikire Reijou' Anime Cast

According to the official announcement, famous voice actors Seto Asami and Akabane Kenji have joined the cast of the TV anime adaptation 'Buchikire Reijou wa Fukushuu wo Chikaimashita: Madousho no Chikara de Sokoku wo Tataki Tsubushimasu' (The Angry Lady Swore Revenge: She Will Crush Her Homeland with the Power of a Magic Book). The duo will voice characters who are in a difficult situation because of a useless royal prince — and somehow caught in the middle of these troubles.
The involvement of well-known names such as Seto Asami (Mash Kyrielight in 'Fate/Grand Order', Tome in 'Mob Psycho 100') and Akabane Kenji (Suguru Daishou in 'Haikyuu!!', Bertholdt Hoover in 'Shingeki no Kyojin') has excited fans of the series. The anime is adapted from the light novel series of the same name by author Gomidzuki and illustrator Kiritani. The series follows a noblewoman who, after being unjustly tried and exiled, swears revenge with the power of an ancient magic book.
The light novel was first published on online platforms in 2022 and quickly gained popularity. Then a manga adaptation was serialized in 2023. The anime adaptation was announced for 2025. Although the exact release date has not been announced yet, the production is expected to air within this year. Previously, Miyu Tomita (Roxy Migurdia - Mushoku Tensei) was announced for the lead role.
With these new members, the cast is gradually expanding. In particular, the concept of the 'useless prince' is a motif frequently encountered in recent works of the 'noblewoman revenge' genre. It is curious how the characters portrayed by Seto and Akabane will react to the prince's intrigues. The anime adaptation is being produced by Studio Elle (which previously contributed to productions such as 'Kami no Tou' and 'Warau Salesman'). The main visual and a new promotional trailer are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
