Shueisha Games Returns to Survival Genre with Wild Wild Eden

Shueisha Games has officially announced its new open-world survival and crafting game Wild Wild Eden. This new project from Shueisha, a name frequently mentioned in publishing and game development, will be released in early access on Steam. According to the company's statement, the game's release date is set for spring 2027.
The game's core mechanics include classic survival elements such as exploration, resource gathering, hunting, and base building. As the name suggests, Wild Wild Eden takes place in a wild paradise setting. Players will try to survive in a massive open world while also being able to craft their own tools and weapons. Shueisha Games previously drew attention with titles like Captain Velvet Meteor and Oni: Road to Be the Mightiest Oni, but this will be the company's first large-scale survival project.
Shueisha Games was founded in 2021 as the gaming arm of Shueisha, one of the giants of the manga and anime world. The company had previously made a name for itself mostly with indie-scale productions. Wild Wild Eden is planned to be open to community feedback during its early access period. This shows Shueisha Games' desire to collaborate more closely with the player base in the game development process. No date has been announced for the full version yet, but it is expected to reach a stable state within a few years after early access.
Given the popularity of the survival and crafting genre, it can be said that Wild Wild Eden will be one of Shueisha Games' most ambitious projects. The innovations the game offers are eagerly anticipated, especially to compete with giants like Minecraft, Valheim, and Ark: Survival Evolved. Currently, there is no clear information about the game's story details or multiplayer features. However, Shueisha Games' experience in this field and Shueisha's strong IP portfolio provide enough reasons to follow the project closely.
