New Details on Skeleton Knight in Another World Season 2: Trailer Focusing on Chiyome and Sasuke Released

There is great news for fans of the highly anticipated isekai series Skeleton Knight in Another World (Gaikotsu Kishi-sama, Tadaima Isekai e Odekake-chuu)! The new promotional video and key visual released for the series' second season focus on the beloved characters Chiyome and her loyal companion Sasuke. The production, which gained a dedicated following with its first season, is preparing to ramp up the adventure with its new season, set to premiere in Japan on July 4, 2026.
The names joining the new season's cast have also been made official. Experienced voice actor Mitsuo Iwata will bring to life the character Charros, one of the seven cardinals of the Hilk Religion. Iwata describes his character as "childish, gluttonous, but equally mysterious." Additionally, Kento Hama has joined the cast as Ein, the leader of the Tigerman people, and Hiroshi Naka as Hanzo, the 22nd generation leader of the Jinshin Clan. The character Sasuke, whom we know from the first season, will continue to be voiced by the famous voice actor Kensho Ono.
Adapted from the popular light novel series written by Ennki Hakari and illustrated by KeG, the anime is undergoing a significant change in production this season. Aura Studio is taking over from Studio Kai and HORNETS, who produced the first season. While Katsumi Ono remains in the director's chair, the series composition role has been taken over by Toshizo Nemoto (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime). How these technical changes will affect the visual quality and narrative dynamism of the series is already a subject of curiosity among fans.
The second season deepens the quest for justice that began after our main character, Arc, awakened as a skeleton knight in a game world. In the new episodes, darker and more complex themes such as slavery, power struggles, and the freedom fight of the Beastmen are expected to be explored. The journey of Arc, Ariane, and the adorable Ponta will meet international audiences via Crunchyroll. If you have missed the adventures of a charismatic skeleton defending justice in an action-packed fantasy world, July will be a very exciting month for you!
