Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You Anime Trailer and Release Date Announced: July 9

Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You anime countdown has begun! With the release of the main trailer, it has been officially announced that the series will air on July 9.
The trailer showcases our protagonist Tatsuo meeting a mysterious woman behind the supermarket and the warm relationship that develops between them. Adapted from Jinushi's popular manga of the same name, the anime tells the story of office worker Tatsuo and a mysterious woman who loves smoking. The manga first began serialization in 2021 and quickly gained a large fanbase.
The anime is produced by Studio Deen. The director is Mirai Minato. The series' script is written by Yasuhiro Nakanishi, while character designs are entrusted to Yoshiko Saitō. In the voice cast, Yūki Ono will voice Tatsuo, and Rie Takahashi will voice the mysterious woman.
The trailer also featured the opening and ending songs. The opening theme titled "Kaze no Naka de" is performed by Yorushika, while the ending song "Hoshizora no Tobacco" is by Aimer. The combination of these powerful names indicates that the anime's music quality will also be high.
So why is this anime so eagerly anticipated? Because the story depicts a man escaping the stress of modern work life, and the unexpected friendship and perhaps love he finds behind an ordinary supermarket. The manga, with its both relaxing and emotional atmosphere, had a huge impact especially among adult readers. The anime is expected to successfully bring this sincere atmosphere to the screen.
The anime will air new episodes every Wednesday starting July 9. Although which platforms it will be available on in Turkey is not yet clear, Crunchyroll among international distributors is almost certain to pick up the series.
