Exciting news for Sound! Euphonium fans! The long-awaited main trailer and final key visual for the series' final film, Sound! Euphonium: The Final Movie Part 2, produced by Kyoto Animation, have been officially released. The trailer, with English subtitles, has also been shared worldwide via Anime News Network.
The trailer focuses on the Kitauji High School Music Club's final challenge at the national competition. It highlights emotional moments between Kumiko Oumae and Reina Kousaka, as well as captivating shots of the group's final performance. The final visual features all the main characters together, greeting fans in a scene reminiscent of a farewell.
The series is based on the novels of the same name by Ayano Takeda. The first season aired in 2015, the second in 2016, and Sound! Euphonium received great acclaim for both Kyoto Animation's visual quality and character-driven storytelling. The subsequent films (Chikai no Finale and Ensemble Contest) brought the series to its finale. This film will be the second and final part of the story that began in Part 1.
The film will premiere in Japan on September 11, 2026. For Kyoto Animation, completing this final film during its recovery after the 2019 arson attack holds great significance for both the studio and fans. Sound! Euphonium: The Final Movie Part 2 is already highly anticipated as the production that will put an end to the series' emotional and musical journey.
New character posters and additional images are expected to be released in the coming weeks. After its screening in Japan, the film will also meet audiences on international platforms. For those who want to capture the spirit of the series, this trailer is the best sign that the countdown has begun.
