Special Reading Theater Held for Kageki Shoji!!'s 5th Anniversary

Exciting news for Kageki Shoji!! fans: The beloved anime that aired in 2021 is celebrating its 5th anniversary with a special reading theater. The event will take place on August 23, 2025, at IMA Hall in Tokyo.
At the event, lead voice actors from the anime, including Ayaka Chimoto (Naru), Yumiri Hanamori (Ai), and Sumire Uesaka (Sawa), along with other voice actors, will be on stage. In comments released for this special day, manga creator Kumiko Saiki and the anime team thanked fans and emphasized the significance of the event.
Kageki Shoji!! is adapted from Kumiko Saiki's manga of the same name and tells the story of young girls studying performing arts at a music school. Adapted into an anime by Studio Pine Jam in the summer of 2021, the series quickly gained a large fanbase for its visual and emotional storytelling. This reading theater, held after 5 years, will be a nostalgic meeting point for both manga and anime fans.
The reading theater will recreate key scenes from the story with live performances by the original voice cast. Fans will have the opportunity to hear the voices of their favorite characters once again, and it is also noted that a new script specially prepared by Kumiko Saiki will be read. Ticket details and other participants will be announced in the coming weeks.
Events like these are important moments that strengthen an anime's cultural impact and community ties. For fans wanting to see more content from the Kageki Shoji!! universe, this reading theater could be a harbinger of new projects. If you'll be in Tokyo, this is an event not to be missed.
