Spring 2026 Anime Rankings: Re:ZERO and Witch Hat Atelier at the Top!

The Spring 2026 anime season has finally begun, and the first week's data proves that this period will be one of the most competitive seasons in anime history. According to the weekly poll organized by Anime Corner, which saw participation from over 5,000 fans, Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 4 took the top spot with 12.04% of the votes. It is followed by the visually stunning Witch Hat Atelier (10.27%) and the intrigue-filled Classroom of the Elite Season 4 (5.58%).
The leader of the pack, Re:ZERO, is preparing to offer viewers a very intense experience this season. It has been announced that the 4th season will consist of a total of 19 episodes split into two parts: the 11-episode The Loss Arc, which began on April 8th, and the 8-episode The Recapture Arc, starting on August 12th. The production, bearing the signature of studio White Fox, also made a huge splash on social media with its opening theme "Recollect," a collaboration between Konomi Suzuki and Ashnikko. Fans are already discussing that Subaru's psychological and physical struggle at the Pleiades Watchtower will be the best in the series in terms of production quality this season.
Witch Hat Atelier, sitting in second place, stands out as the season's strongest new production. Brought to life by BUG FILMS and directed by Ayumu Watanabe, the series strengthens its atmosphere with compositions by Yuka Kitamura, who is particularly known for her work on the Elden Ring and Dark Souls soundtracks. This seinen fantasy work has managed to satisfy not only new viewers but also loyal followers of the manga with its unique perspective on the world of magic. Described as a visual work of art with its first two episodes, the production is in neck-and-neck competition with a giant isekai series like Re:ZERO.
The rest of the rankings show a great variety of genres. Daemons of the Shadow Realm, the new work from Fullmetal Alchemist creator Hiromu Arakawa, made a strong debut at 5th place, while popular sequels like Dr. Stone: Science Future and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4 maintained their spots in the top 10. Furthermore, long-awaited returns such as One Piece's highly anticipated Elbaph Arc and Dorohedoro Season 2 are turning Spring 2026 into a feast for anime lovers of all kinds. With the final episodes of My Hero Academia set to enter the fray in the coming weeks, the rankings are expected to become even more heated.
