SPY×FAMILY Musical Returns: "Bomb Dog" and "Luxury Liner" Arcs Coming to the Stage

Spies, assassins, and telepaths are back on stage! The long-awaited details for SPY×FAMILY 2: Bomb Dog Arc & Luxury Liner Arc, the second musical adaptation of the phenomenal SPY×FAMILY series, have finally been shared. Adapted from Tatsuya Endo's manga series, which has sold over 41 million copies worldwide, this new production combines two of fans' favorite major story arcs into a single production. Following the massive success of the first musical in 2023, this sequel is already generating great excitement with both its visual splendor and its expanded cast.
The new musical is divided into two main parts in terms of storytelling. The first act will cover the Doggy Crisis (Bomb Dog) arc, where the Forger family's loyal dog with the ability to see the future, Bond Forger, joins the family. In the second act, the action intensifies as the Cruise Adventure (Luxury Liner) arc, set on the luxury ship Princess Lorelei where Yor Forger showcases her skills as an assassin, is brought to the stage. This arc was one of the most anticipated sections for a musical adaptation by fans, especially because it highlights the depth of Yor's character and her instinct to protect her family.
The cast features both familiar faces and new names. Win Morisaki and Kento Kinouchi will alternate (double-cast) in the role of Loid Forger. The character of Yor Forger will also be played alternately by Fuka Yuzuki and the new addition to the cast, Kiho Maaya. For the role of Anya Forger, the heart of the series, the production team is conducting an extensive audition process among child actors. While the costume visuals show that the characters remain faithful to their iconic manga appearances, the designs of supporting characters such as Sylvia Sherwood (Manato Asaka) and Keith Kepler (Tōru Isono) have received full marks.
The performance schedule for the musical is quite busy. Following previews at Westa Kawagoe in Saitama in September 2026, the official premiere will take place at the Tokyo Tatemono Brillia Hall in Tokyo. The production will then visit Fukuoka in November, and the cities of Hyogo, Aichi, and Yamagata in December. Directed and written by G2, with music composed by Shuhei Kamimura, this massive production promises an unforgettable experience for fans by combining the SPY×FAMILY universe with the magic of live performance.
